Decorating Eggs on a Friday Night
Last night Scott and I went over to his brother and sister-in-law’s house to decorate some eggs. I couldn’t wait to dive in and start coloring them because I hadn’t decorated eggs since I was a kid. It was something that I always did when I was younger and then as I got older, I stopped.
I loved how his sister-in-law set everything up and prepared for our Friday night.
She also made some egg-shaped rice krispie treats and put out some Easter candy.
Here are a few of our eggs that were set to dry because we put glue and glitter all over a few of them.
Between the four of us we decorated 19 eggs. There was one more but we forgot that it was left in one of the dyes and it ended up falling down the garbage disposal.
These four are the ones that I did:
After we finished decorating our eggs, we went out in the backyard to sit by the fire pit and drink a couple beers.
A tiny piece of hot coal popped out of the fire, hit me right in the chest and burnt off some of my skin! So now I have some lovely new sores to heal :(
All in all though, I had a fun night and it was great to end the week with family, food, and some seasonal arts & crafts.
